In this Cinema 4D tutorial, I show you how to model a shopping cart in Cinema 4D using the Atom Array and Sweep Nurbs. Using the Atom Array you can quickly model polygon edges like the cage of a shopping cart.
The objective of this tutorial is to show methods for quickly modeling assets to use in your motion graphics projects. Is this the most detailed shopping cart ever modeled? No. Did I spend all day modeling it? No. Will it work for a fast action motion graphics piece where you see a cart on screen for three seconds? Yes. You don't always need the most detailed model for every project. If you are creating a corporate video for a shopping cart manufacturer you would of course create an accurate "hero" model, but many times you can get away with a generic looking model and vary your polygon count.
